Series: My Shack Purse of Poetry
Day 100 of 365 make a shack out of an old T-shirt Bonus: document someone wearing it combined with Day 10 of creative sprint....Write a poem. I took an old blue t-shirt and an old purse and added some wood pieces and wooden beads. I then did some wood burning to get the lettering onto the wood. Problem is this was my 2nd attempt at woodburning and the first was on balsa wood which is much easier to burn. This wood was scrap wood and had hard grain lines making it harder to burn. However, I do enjoy the smell of burning wood cause it takes me back to my childhood days in the country.
The poem by Sheri Ogburn reads
- "Shacks compare to humans heart and soul.
- A mess with vacant parts.
- Not to be judged or torn apart.
- In need of love and care"
